ABOUT ME:

My name is Juan Manzano. Welcome to my web site, and thanks for visiting me. Before anything else, I want you to know I’m from Spain, so please excuse my english because it’s horrible... I know. I began this site a long time ago,creating my first personal web page for me and my friends. It has been changing and changing since then, as I worked on it without ever closing this web site... I have learned a lot, though. On March of 2000 Top Icons, a project with Alvaro Trincado (my cousin and owner of Top Wallpapers), was born. I was really excited with the idea because I’m really a fan of icons. However, I had not created an Icon before... so I learned that month and created 100 Icons, and we decided to launch “Top Icons.”

A lot of time has passed since those glory days, and now I think my work has some popularity. I have always worked hard trying to find my own style... and Im still trying and trying with new techniques and applications. Everyday, we could learn something from the great talented Iconists of the web.

But there is always a dark side on this kind of project, and mine has been the money. This is just a hobby to me... REALLY, I love this, and in fact, this
is not my work. I’m a student (architect) and I have worked with my father for two years now (9am-3pm) and I go to the university in the afternoon (not
always, you know ;-)), and so the free time I spend on this is not always enough. I apologize for that.

Alvaro left me with the project because he needs to earn some money and he does not have the time to spend with this, so unless we create a members area
for Topicons :-(, we’ll have to think about closing the site.

So, again, I am really sorry because I love the Free spirit of the web... this is why I decided to create The IconsTree. now, I’m alone with the two projects, on my free time and it is going to be really hard to do, but I’m really excited and I have some great Ideas to keep alive my web sites... I hope.
